Tragedy occurred in Hungary last weekend when a co-driver was killed on the second stage of the Miskolc Rally.
Zsolt Toth (pictured above) was the co-driver in a Skoda Fabia R5 driven by Greg Dudas when it left the road and hit a tree.
Forty-eight year old Toth died of his injuries at the scene, although Dudas was uninjured.
"Zsolt has been a member of the rally community for a long time and his death is a great loss for all of us. The Hungarian Motorsports Federation, competitors, teams and all members of the rally community will take part in the grief of Zsolt Toth's loved ones," an official statement read
The rally was stopped immediately after the accident.
"The first eight or ten pairs of competitors decided that they no longer wanted to continue. We called the race director, who called back soon and told the race management that he agreed to suspend the rally," leading driver Frigyes Turan said.
