New Zealand’s first “true” AP4 car will make its debut at the 2017 Otago Rally, from April 7 to 9.

Unlike other AP4 cars run in New Zealand to date, Davies’ Yaris will use a 1600cc turbocharged engine.

The car is being built by PF Automotive, with assistance from Force Motorsport, and will feature a Sadev gearbox and Paddon Rallysport-imported Extreme Suspension.

Davies is no slouch behind the wheel, having won the 2012 Possum Bourne Memorial Rally. He’ll line up at the Otago Rally with Tracey Millar calling the pace notes.

An entry into the Otago Rally has also been submitted for Australians Richie Dalton and John Allen, in their much-talked-about Ford Fiesta Proto.

The Polish built car will use a 2-litre turbocharged engine, and will contest this year’s New Zealand Rally Championship.
