Driving a Datsun 1600, the experience pairing of Alan Upton and Mark Laidlay have won the Historic Rally Association's Olde BP Rally, held last weekend.
They finished the four-day navigational event 64 points clear of John Rawson and Dave Smith in a Datsun Stanza, with former national champions, David and Kate Officer (Galant) in third place.
Fourth were Mike Conway/Jenny Cole (Mercedes 280 SE), followed by David and Ewen McKenzie in a 1973 Galant.
Twenty-three of the 43 starters finished the event, which was directed by Ross Runnalls.
