2017 ARC runner up, Molly Taylor, is understood to be keen to explore options in addition to her Australian Rally Championship program next year.
The move is to maximise her competitive seat time, and already this has led to speculation that the 2016 champion will compete in the United States of America next year.
Taylor visited Subaru’s US headquarters earlier this year, and hasn’t ruled out competing offshore next season.
"Ideally I'll find something that fits into that (Subaru) family, which makes the US a more realistic step," she said on the SBS website.
Subaru Australia have yet to announce their plans for 2018, other than to say:
“As per last year, we'll conduct a season review by early next year and will share plans once that is complete,” Subaru's in-house Motorsport Manager and National Corporate Affairs Manager, David Rowley, told RallySport Magazine.
Another Australian, former WRC driver Chris Atkinson, is already a regular for Subaru in the US, contesting the Global Rallycross Championship in a WRX STI.
