Rob Bell, of the Gold Coast Tweed Motorsporting Club, recently passed away, and the best wishes of the Queensland rally community go out to his wife, Jan, and the whole family.
Rob was a regular Queensland Rally Championship (QRC) competitor throughout the nineties in a very fast Ford Escort, often finishing at the pointy end of the field and outdoing many more fancied crews.
The whole Bell family was involved with the sport during this time and it was a rare occasion when Rob did not front up for a QRC event in his AllStar Escort.
Rob was also a long-time member of the Queensland Rally Advisory Panel during this time, and made great contributions to the administration of the sport.
He was a passionate supporter of the Gold Coast Tweed Motorsporting Club.
