Suzuki has announced a major recruitment drive ahead of their step up to the 'senior' level in the FIA World Rally Championship with the new SX4 World Rally Car.

Although Suzuki will not graduate from the FIA Junior World Rally Championship full-time until 2008, the Japanese manufacturer, which will base its World Rally team in France in the suburbs of Paris, plan to contest a selected number of events towards the end of 2007 with the SX4, subject to FIA approval.

As such Suzuki is looking to recruit people to fill 15 different positions, having already recently appointed ex-Peugeot whiz, Michel Nandan as their technical director and Nino Frison, as their chief designer - both 'signings' confirmed at the end of last month.

The team's official website, lists a number of job vacancies including:

- Test and Event Engineer;

- Electronic Engineer;

- Electric Technician;

- Senior Design Engineer;

- Engineering Office Technician;

- Senior Purchaser;

- Quality Control Manager;

- Gearbox Mechanic;

- Car Mechanic.
