An area that has been badly effected by drought, bush fires and the low level of Lake Eildon, the North Eastern Car Club are hoping to draw attention back to this great part of Victoria.
Â
Event Clerk of Course, Scott Spedding, directing his first event with the skillful guidance and experience of the North Eastern Car Club, is excited about the event format.
"The roads we are planning to use have not seen Special Stage rallying since the 2001 Alpine, and for quite some time before that. I think all VCRS crews will love the roads we have selected, with a range of fast-flowing, to tight and technical roads, and the fact that we are running with a daylight format, there is something for everyone," Spedding said.
Â
With the valuable partnership of the Mansfield Shire, DSE and Victoria Police, the NECC plan on promoting a popular and safe round of the series that will provide crews with a closed road, special stage event, using route charts and A-A timing.
Â
The event will be based out of the township of Bonnie Doon on Saturday, May 26 and will attract up to 60 crews. A post event function will be held at the Bonnie Doon Hotel, with provisional presentations, meals, and a band. There will be plenty of time for catching up with other competitors and officials, and to enjoy a great night after the event and support the local community.
Â
Accommodation is abundant in the area, with further details to follow in the Supplementary Regulations. Crews and officials are encouraged to stay over and enjoy a night with their crews and supporters.
Â
Supported by Traction Tyres (Victoria’s authorised dealer for Yokohama rally tyres) and the Bonnie Doon Hotel, Supplementary Regulations will be available soon, as will contact details for keen officials who may want to assist in this exciting round of the VCRS.

Ahhhhh THE SERENITY!
