Popular WRC star, Mads Ostberg, will contest eight rounds of the World Rally Championship this year in a Citroen C3. Ostberg has said that his goal this season is to become the WRC2 champion, which is a disappointment to fans hoping to see him back in a World Rally Car. They'll at least see his sunny disposition on the stages, however.
“I will drive the official Citroën car in WRC 2 and also do all the development tests with the C3 R5," Ostberg said.
"I am very happy that this is concrete, because it means that I will have eight races for the World Rally Championship in 2020.” The Norwegian will start his season at home at the Norwegian Championship's Sigdalsrally on January 18. Following the opening round of the WRC at Monte Carlo a week later, he'll enter Rally Finnskog on February. It is not yet known if his program includes the snowy Rally Sweden.

Mads Ostberg will have an eight event program in Citroen's C3 R5 in 2020.
