Starting at “Yolla” but not the old spot of the “Yolla Filling Station”, next door at the Yolla Tavern will see the Yolla Stages Rally head to the “Choveaux” road area for a magic compact event which will keep both Driver and Navigators on their toes.
Roads vary from slippery and narrow to wide open and flowing. As we have seen in many areas, we have lost so many good roads to maintenance programs being shut down and the demise of some forestry operations. Availability of roads and areas has hurt our sport greatly.
That said, the course survey found a good combination of roads that netted us 70kms of competitive stages. A service area has been chosen that will enable service crews to spectate at two locations either end of the service area.
Food will be available there also. Entry fee will be $120.00 up until Friday the 2nd of August then $180.00 until the close of entries on Wednesday the 7th, the night of scrutineering at Must Love Cars in Burnie.
First car will leave the Tavern at 1.00pm and will return there as the finish venue 4 hours later. Counter meals will be available and presentations where special awards will be presented including “Best Control Official”.
An Introductory rally will be held in conjunction with the event and attracts an entry fee of $80.00. Crews must have a minimum 2NS licence.
