The Asia Pacific Rally Championship has released its provisional calendar for 2011, six full status events starting with Malaysia in April.
The APRC then heads to the Southern Hemisphere for three Pacific rallies in Australia, New Caledonia and New Zealand. After New Zealand its a 8500 kilometre journey to Japan's northern island of Hokkaido and the final event scheduled for China early November.
"There are no surprises with the calendar, except we have reduced the series to six events. The APRC covers huge distances for a regional championship and it was important to reduce the shipping and logistics costs for the teams. With three events in Asia and three in the Pacific, we can now concentrate our efforts on making these high quality, well attended events." said APRC President Steven Kennedy.
