Comboyne’s Peter Roberts with co-driver Jim Gleeson alongside won the recent pacenoted Myall Stages Rally at Bulahdelah round 2 of the NSW Rally Championship in their Hastings Concrete Services Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 6.

Following on from their second outright at Round 1, Roberts now leads the NSW Championship with 2 rounds to go. The Lancer ran faultlessly over the weekend and Peter and Jim would like to thank there service crew  for a fine effort over the weekend.

It was disappointing that their main competition Michael South retired after Special Stage 2 after hitting some rocks and damaging his car. This allowed Peter and Jim to ease up a little and test some tyres ultimately using Dunlops, Pirellis and Kumhos over the course of the event.

The crew won the event by just under 3 minutes from Leigh Gotch and Roger Pederson.

The car is now being readied for the Coffs Coast Forest Rally ARC event run in conjunction with the Rally Australia WRC in September.
