After months of speculation, Citroen have again secured the services of their nine-time World Rally Champion, Sebastien Loeb.
The French star will compete in three events for the team, after a layoff from the WRC, contesting events in Mexico, Spain and France.
Surprisingly, however, they will only field a two-car team.
The team will drop to two cars for 2018, in the hands of Kris Meeke and Craig Breen.
Loeb is set to replace Breen for the selected three rounds, whilst Khalid Al-Qassimi will drive a third C3 on some events.

43 year-old Loeb said everyone was happy with how things had gone so far.
"Everyone was pleased after the test sessions done this year - myself first and foremost - and these three appearances were the next logical step," Loeb said.
"I don't have any expectations, I just want to enjoy myself,"
"I thought it made sense to take part in the French round, especially since I've always loved racing on Tarmac, although I'm not familiar with the current route of the Tour de Corse.
“Spain seemed like a good option too.” he added.
Loeb’s season will begin in Mexico, due to his fond memories, and the reasonably unchanged route on the rally.
Stephane Lefebvre will drop to WRC2, as he drives the manufacturer’s new R5 car.
Sebastien Loeb will compete in Mexico, Spain and France.
