Ahead of its second year in 2020, Rally Retro Festival organisers are planning bigger and better showpieces and attractions in a nod to the history of rallying in Australia.

Run by the Historic Rally Association, the day aims to bring together famous cars and respected rallying personalities from across the country all to one place.

The successful first year saw almost 50 classic rally cars on display including Prodrive WRXs, works Datsuns and the famous IYK Ford Escort RS1800.

In 2020, there is set to be a bigger number of cars on display, including some Group A classics.

Several Toyota Celicas driven by four-time Australian Rally Champion, Neal Bates, will be present at the event, as will a famous Mitsubishi Galant VR4 which won the Ivory Coast Rally.

The festival will be held at the Metec Driver Training complex just outside of Melbourne on Saturday the 29th of February.

More car information will be available in the coming weeks.
