A one-off event taking place in Greystoke Forest in the UK will be an example of how club rallying can return safely.

Initiated by the Cumbrian-based WRC outfit, the M-Sport Return to Rallying Stages will take place near the end of August.

The electronic management of information and documentation, socially distanced time controls and the safe recovery of vehicles and crews will just be some of the measures in place to ensure a COVID-safe return.

M-Sport Team Principal, Richard Millener, says it is exciting to return to rallying while showcasing all of M-Sport's famous cars. Only M-Sport Ford entries will be accepted for the event - from Ford Focus WRCs, to Ford Fiesta R2s.

“It’s been good to work with Motorsport UK over the past few weeks. We all want to see rallying get going again, and this event aims to show how that can be done safely and responsibly," Millener said.

"It will be great to see some competition, but also to see our community of customers together at one event.

"When you think back to the cars we’ve produced over the past 20 years there are some fairly impressive machines on the list, and I’m looking forward to seeing as many of them as possible next month.

"The more I think about what this event could showcase, the more exciting it becomes," he added.
