High-profile co-driver, Miikka Anttila, has been appointed deputy Clerk of Course for Finland's World Rally Championship event. An 18-time WRC rally winner, Anttila has taken a step back from co-driving duties in 2020. He sat beside Eerik Pietarinen in Sweden, but is not co-driving for long-time driver Jari-Matti Latvala. "I'm delighted to tell you that I’ve been appointed Deputy Clerk of the Course of Rally Finland," he announced. "A new challenge is starting for me and I’m really excited about it. “It can be said that, until now, I have been a customer and a service subscriber in this event and that I am now switching over to the service provider side, so the starting points will be quite different. “Acting as the competitor relations officer a while back gave me a little better understanding of the bigger picture, so to speak, but joining the Rally Finland top officials will certainly open my eyes even more. “Rally Finland is already at such a high level that it can be quite difficult to see much room for improvement in the current situation. However, maintaining that high level and staying in the forefront of development presents a great challenge.” He was appointed to the role by the Finnish Motorsport Federation. https://twitter.com/MiikkaAnttila/status/1240910194462392321
