A meeting of the Asia-Pacific Rally Championship Working Group was held in Singapore on August 14. Representatives of the ASNs of the countries that host a round of the APRC were present, along with the promoters and members of the Executive of the Working Group.

At the meeting, Mr Wan He Ping from the Chinese ASN was appointed to the Executive of the Working Group. It was also agreed that the following recommendations would be put forward to the Rallies Commission.

If agreed at the Rallies Commission, the proposals will be put forward to the World Motor Sport Council for a decision.

Reccomendations:

•    that there are six events in the 2007 calendar, and registered competitors will be required to compete in each round.

•    small changes to the APRC Regulations to clarify some wording, but nothing major.

•    recommendations on the design and layout for the start and finish ceremony so that there is consistency between events.
