Rally competitors from around Australia and beyond will be given the chance to hear about the major changes and initiatives being planned for the 2011 Australian Rally Championship without leaving the comfort of their own homes or workplaces via a special Webinar presentation scheduled for January 28 at midday (EDST).

The Webinar, a virtual web based seminar, will be hosted by newly appointed ARC CEO Scott Pedder and is aimed at giving both competitors and prospective competitors the chance to understand all of the initiatives being planned with changes designed to make the ARC a better, simpler and more rewarding championship in 2011 and beyond.

According to ARC CEO Scott Pedder the Webinar is part of a new chapter in the ARC which is all about informing and sharing information with competitors so they can feel a part of the Championship equipped with much higher levels of knowledge and understanding.

"My view is competitors are our partners in the process of staging the Australian Rally Championship without them there would be no championship and equally without the rules and framework for the series along with the administration the championship would not exist," said Scott.

"We are all time poor and it is impossible to stage seminars all over the country so using the latest technology we are able to present to all competitors and field questions without anyone leaving home," he said.

"We have plans for a large scale series launch for the media together with our corporate partners in early April so this Webinar is designed specifically to provide basic information to current and prospective competitors to allow appropriate planning time for the first round of the 2011 ARC, the Quit Forest Rally in mid- April."

Full 2011 ARC Sporting and Technical Regulations will be available as soon as possible following the Webinar.

The Webinar will run for approximately one hour and cover a range of topics about the changes to the 2011 ARC including the ARC car concept, the Junior Australian Rally Challenge, manufacturers for the future, increased media awareness, sponsorship and many more subjects.

"The 2011 Australian Rally Championship is the start of a new and exciting era and I look forward to presenting the results of months of hard work from many great people within our championship and the sport to our current and prospective teams," Scott Pedder concluded.
