A two-day Australian Rally Championship Forum was held last week to discuss the 2007 national championship, with major stakeholders in the ARC present.
Held at the CAMS office in Melbourne last Friday and Saturday, the forum was predominantly attended by event organisers, manufacturers and members of Rallycorp, the company holding the commericial rights to the ARC.
Rallycorp chairman, Steve Ashton, was present for one day of the meeting, along with Garry Connelly, as were representatives from Toyota, Ford and Mitsubishi. Incoming Australian Rally Commission chairman, Ed Ordynski, was at the meeting as an observer.
All 2006 events were represented, and representatives of new events for 2007 were also in attendance.
Items discussed included the television coverage for 2007, and many other incidental items such as pre-event testing, prizemoney and event entry fees.
