The season consists of seven one hour programmes to be aired two weeks after each Championship round, including a mid-season review show to be aired during the ARC’s August hiatus.
The ARC continues its long-term relationship with Network Ten, who will broadcast the package on free-to-air television in a Sunday afternoon timeslot.
Rallycorp Chairman, Stephen Ashton, said he is delighted about the outcomes of negotiations held over the off season.
“We are now entering into the second year of our three-year arrangement with Network Ten and I look forward to continuing that relationship into the future,” Ashton said. “I am also extremely pleased to see the show move back to a much more familiar timeslot of Sunday afternoon.”
In announcing the television package for 2008, the ARC has confirmed the continuation of their partnership with North One Television, as the production house behind the show.
The partnership will continue to utilise North One’s world-class programming, which also produces the official World Rally Championship television programme.
The ARC program will continue the professional look and style launched in 2007, carrying over the titles and style of the WRC version.
“The ARC Television show is a valuable commercial asset for the Championship,” Ashton added. “Last year we began the steps to create a new era of growth of the ARC using North One’s expertise, and this looks set to increase even further in 2008.”
The North One partnership also allows for a continued extensive ARC coverage on the internationally distributed ‘Rally World’ magazine programme, via parent company International Sportsworld Communicators Ltd.
