The Australian Tarmac Rally Championship, previously owned and run by Mountain Motorsports, has been sold to a new collective group.
Australian Tarmac Rally Pty Limited (ATR) has purchased all four events in the existing tarmac series and have big plans moving forward.
"We are very excited to continue the long tradition of tarmac rallying in not only Victoria, but Australia-wide," ATR Executive Director, Britany Smith said.
"With the recent tough times, we are hoping this will give people some light at the end of the tunnel and something to look forward to.
"We have some great plans for the events, and we are looking forward to growth in the years ahead."
The ownership group will also be the first fully-owned female motorsport event management company.
All rallies run by ATR are conducted with the assistance of the Australian Autosport Alliance.
"Our focus here at ATR will be to continue to provide challenging, exhilarating and affordable tarmac rallies, with an emphasis on friendship and fun,” ATR ExecutiveDirector Pamela Stables.
Rallies like the Great Tarmac Rally, Mt Baw Baw Sprint, Lake Mountain Sprint and Snowy River Sprint will all continue to run under the new banner.
