The Bega Valley Rally will be held this Sunday, June 13, and will be based from the town of Eden on the New South Wales south coast. This event qualifies as a round of both the New South Wales and Victorian Rally Championships, ensuring a large field and plenty of competition.
This will be the first event in 2010 for the crew of Jesse Robison and Adam Wright, who will be car 2 among the 58 car field. The team are looking forward to seeing how their newly rebuilt Subaru Impreza STi will fare, especially considering the Impreza has now been fitted with several new components sourced from Barattero Motorsport Group in Argentina.
Robison Engineering is now the Australian importer and distributor for all Barattero Motorsport Products. The Barattero range includes RS&SP Suspension, 99R Racing Pads and EFROM High Performance 4X4 Suspension. The Robison Engineering Impreza will be showcasing some of these products during this event and throughout the season.
The car will be running on the latest 4-way adjustable RS&SP suspension complete with hydraulic bump stops and the latest 99R Racing Pads, which are also currently being campaigned in the Australian Rally Championship on the Raymond Partners Accountant’s Mitsubishi Evo 10.
The new parts have already proven very effective in testing, leaving Robison impressed.
“The new car felt awesome straight out of the box,” he said. “Both the new suspension and brake pads are a huge improvement and I can’t wait to get out in the forest and see how they go at Bega.”
With the rally fast approaching, the final touches and checks are being carried out on the car and the team is very excited about the trip to Eden.
