Five years after Mexican driver Benito Guerra won the FIA's World Production Rally Car championship, he plans to be back as a regular contender in the WRC again this year.
Before the rally Benito, now 32 years old, outlined his hopes.
"We are trying to close a deal with all the sponsors, the big communications company Telmex, Televisa and the Guanajuato government to have the support to be in the WRC2 for the whole season.
“Mexico is our first round, we will do Argentina and then we will do the European events, but we are not doing France and I think we are not doing Finland, but Motorsport Italia have to take that decision.
“I’m really excited to be again part of the championship.”
