Along with his co-driving wife, Michelle, Crozier will contest this year’s Australian Rally Championship in a Subaru Impreza WRX, while also taking on the naming rights sponsorship of the Victorian Rally Championship.

Through their business, DRC4X4, the Croziers are clearly putting as much into the sport as they are getting out of it.

The Victorian driver won the 2000 Victorian Club Rally Series in a Holden Gemini, a far cry from his current car that is being prepared for this year’s national series.

“We still have plenty to do yet, but should have a lot more car now,” Crozier said.

“We’ve had a centre diff issue for a while, but that is now sorted. Our Reiger suspension has been rebuilt as the rears were bent, and our notes now are heaps better thanks to working with Rhi and Alex Gelsomino.”

Crozier believes the improved pacenotes will allow them to commit more on the stages, while the car has been on a diet and both crews members are a lot fitter heading into 2025.

“We have a good package, reliable and consistent. We now need just for a little more speed and we should be in the mix. The fastest teams don’t always have the reliability,” he stressed.

The weekend after Canberra they’ll be keeping a close eye on the Mitta Mountain Rally, the opening round of the DRC4x4 Victorian Rally Championship.

The Rally of Canberra runs on March 22 and 23.
