The 2011 Bosch Australian Rally Championship is moving into top gear with round 4 taking place in Coffs Harbour, NSW – September 8-10.

The Coffs Coast Forest Rally will be joining the World Rally Championship (WRC) Rally Australia. A total of over 100 rally cars will be competing agaisnt each other in front of tens of thousands of specatators and there is bound to be plenty of thrills and spills with lots of points up for grabs.

Thanks to Driver Skills Australia and Britz Campervans – Driver Mark Butcher and his black Subaru WRX STi will be there to put on a good show – and hopefully score maximum points.

The Tasmanian based privateer team are currently sitting in 4th in the championship after consistent performances in the first 3 rounds.

“I am really excited to be heading to Coffs Harbour for this rally and after our performance in SA, I feel that we can surprise a few people in more modern cars with bigger budgets” said driver Butcher.

The team are working very closley with exisiting sponsors and some new sponsors to put a new car together for the 2012 series. Currently driving a 10 year old Subaru – the team set out to gain event  experience and learn about the different conditions this year before upgarding machinery.

“We have had some promising meetings with our existing sponsors and I am confident that we can have a brand new car for 2012. We are actually looking at a few options and are excited about the many choices we now have with the new 2WD categories being announced earlier this week” said Butcher.
