Western Australia's Forest Rally will return to some of Rally Australia's classic stages when it runs as a round of the state championship in September.
The Forest Rally, which is not a round of the Australian Rally Championship this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, is normally based in Busselton, with the stages looping out of Nannup.
This year, however, it will start at Perth's Motorplex on Saturday afternoon, September 22, before finishing in Collie on Sunday.
The rally will use stages in the Brunswick and Wellington Dam plantations, made famous by Rally Australia from 1989 until the mid-2000s.
Gravel roads in both areas are in near perfect condition.
A four-round Western Australian Rally Championship will begin on July 18 with the Bakers Hill Sprint.
The Forest Rally is set for September 12/13, followed by the Karri Rally (October 3) and the Safari Rally on November 7.
The WA Rally Panel have also announced a three-round Targa West series, to be run from August to December.
