Hosted by SA Rally Panel on behalf CAMS at the lodgings of the Sporting Car Club South Australia, the SA Rally Awards Night on Saturday 12th of December 2009 saw Michael Clements on the winner’s dais again.

For the fourth time in five years, Michael has been awarded the Most Outstanding Rally Clerk of Course in South Australia for his work in managing the Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally, over other respected SA rally events.  The tireless attention to detail and the genial nature has paid off again - not that you would know it.  With humility that is the norm, Michael, in accepting the award, immediately went on to thank all the officials that are so important in making the events run and thanked the competitors for their ongoing support of events that they have come to know as crackingly good and great value to boot.

Michael also took the opportunity to thank the City of Victor Harbor Council, the City of Onkaparinga Council and the Alexandrina Council for their cooperation and aid in making the events happen, and he especially thanked the residents of those areas that may have been inconvenienced during the running of the events.

And he assured all present that the events that he is working on for 2010 are going to be bigger and better than ever before.

2009 has been a huge year for Michael with the Application Service Provider (asp) / Cut Price Truck Rentals Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally and the inaugural asp Mount Alma Mile being huge successes.  Competitors from all over Australia, spectators and officials all had the opportunity to participate in some pretty huge goings on and all were wholly satisfied.  And through it all, Michael was running a tight, brilliantly managed executive team that has over 180 years of combined experience in motorsport at all levels from club to international events. And even with the events proving their highly professional level, Michael and the team are still continually embracing the changes and challenges in the provision world class motorsport projects.

With the 2010 Application Service Provider (asp) / Cut Price Truck Rentals Adelaide Hills Tarmac Rally forming part of both the Australian Classic Tarmac Championship and the Australian Modern Tarmac Rally Championship, as well as being the sole event that decides the SA Tarmac Rally Championship and a round of the SA Rally Championship, bigger and better is probably an understatement – but that’s Michael.  The event will be a must see on the 2010 South Australian motorsport calendar.

Both Brenton Griguol (Cut Price Truck Rentals) and Andrew Admiraal (asp) are extremely proud of what Michael has achieved, congratulate him wholeheartedly and look forward to working with him again in making the aforementioned “bigger and better events” happen in 2010.
