Television personality and accomplished racing car driver, Grant Denyer, has confirmed he will be a starter in this year’s Targa Tasmania, which gets underway on April 27th.

Denyer will be driving a Renault Megane RS265 for Team Buckby Renault in the Showroom Class of this year’s event.

Denyer, who won the same class in 2013, described Targa Tasmania as one of the best tarmac rallies in the world.

In another coup for Targa Tasmania, Denyer will be teaming up with Alex Gelsomino, one of the world's most respected co-drivers. Italian born Gelsomino has been co-driving for American Ken Block in the World Rally Championship. Block is one of the most recognisable and exciting competitors in world motorsport.

Both Denyer and Gelsomino are currently in Tasmania testing the vehicle and familiarising themselves with the course.
