Mads Ostberg decided to run with DMack instead of Michelin tyres in Rally of Portugal after final tests were made in private testing the day before.

Mads Ostberg's Ford Fiesta WRC will run on DMack tyres in Portugal. This means that four World Rally Car drivers will use DMacks on this event: Elfyn Evans, the two OneBet Jipocar drivers, Ostberg and Martin Prokop, and the French 2016 Citroen WRC privateer Jean-Michel Raoux.

Morten Ostberg (Mads’ father and team manager) said the decision was only taken on the Tuesday, and at this time it is only definite for Portugal.

Depending on experiences on this event, negotiations will then be conducted with regard to the forthcoming European gravel rallies, but no decision will be made regarding use on asphalt rallies until Mads has had the chance to test the tyres later on.

Martin Prokop’s decision to run on DMack tyres on his 2016 specification Fiesta RS WRC was taken earlier.
