DustTrails, Episode 26: Colin Clark’s Rally Radio memories

The legendary voice of world rallying, Colin Clark, joins Peter Whitten on our DustTrails Podcast as we dive deep into the Scotsman’s experiences on the world stage.

In Part 1 of our chat, Colin takes us on a journey back to his beginnings in rallying with the Subaru World Rally Team, sharing memories of his time working for the famous team.

He tells of his transition to a stage end reporter for ‘Rally Radio’, shares why he loved that role and details some of the important historical moments he was there to witness.

From Francois Duval’s subdued celebrations after his WRC win at Rally Australia to the incredible performance by Hayden Paddon at Rally Argentina in 2016.

Later in that famous season, Kris Meeke had a heroic performance on the famous Ouninpohja stage that Clark also describes.

Clark also explains more about his ‘Kitchen Table’ video series and vows to bring them back in the near future.
