Organisers of next month’s Kennards Hire Rally Australia have issued a final reminder for Australian and New Zealand crews intending to contest the FIA World Rally championship round.
Applications for entry close next Monday, 14 October, and cars complying with international WRC or relevant Australian/NZ regulations are eligible.
The WRC’s 14thand final round on the NSW Coffs Coast on 14-17 November is expected to attract Australia’s best rally crews, including newly-crowned champion driver Harry Bates and his Toyota Gazoo Racing Australia team.
Crews entering both the WRC round and the CAMS Australian Rally Championship at Rally Australia are entitled to a $1000 rebate on the usual $2500 entry fee. They will contest the full 25-stage WRC route, including Thursday and Friday-night appearances on the high-profile Destination NSW Super Special Stage.
Holders of national competition driver licences will receive a free upgrade to the required international licence from the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS).
Tickets for Kennards Hire Rally Australia, priced from $29 to $119, are available now from TICKETEK.COM. Highlights of the Coffs Coast event will include two nights of the harbourside Destination New South Wales Super Special Stage and a free concert by legendary rock band Dragon exclusively for 4-day ticket-holders.
“A discounted entry fee makes entering the WRC at Kennards Hire Rally Australia a highly attractive proposition for any serious competitor with an eligible car,” Clerk of the Course Wayne Kenny said.
“It offers four days’ rallying in the company of the world’s best drivers on some of Australia’s best roads. Big crowds, great atmosphere and high-quality event organisation will ensure an unforgettable experience.”
Entries will remain open until 25 October for crews contesting only the national events at Rally Australia.
Crews that enter the CAMS ARC round (incorporating CAMS ARC 2WD, ARC2, Classic Cup and State of Origin entries) will have their chance to shine. In addition, the Rally Australia Cup and Rally Australia 2-Day Events (incorporating Subaru RS Challenge and Northern Hyundai Rally Challenge) will ensure something for every competitor.
