“We are very happy to have Eli Evans as our brand ambassador for 2017,” CEO of Mentor Tyres, Vivek Ponnusamy, said.

“The main role for Eli is to mentor young and upcoming rally drivers to step up to the next level.

“This is been MRF’s philosophy and we always wanted to help the young drivers and the state competitors to improve their skills and stamp their authority in national and international events.”

“This is a great opportunity for me to represent MRF Tyres in the Australian Rally Championship,” Evans added.

“I am also delighted with the steps taken by MRF Tyres to improve the standard of rallying in Australia, and also help the state and club level competitors to get into the next level of competition.

“When Vivek came up with the idea and explained the reason why MRF wants to do the mentoring program, I accepted the offer straight away.

“I'm always available to help anyone in rallying in Australia, and the ‘Mentorship’ works well for me and MRF,” he said.
