Former Skoda APRC driver, Fabian Kreim, will be making his return to the European Rally Championship when rallying returns in Europe. The once-time MRF Skoda driver finished second in the 2016 APRC behind Gaurav Gill, but has rarely been seen on the international stage since. In 2018, he finished fourth in the ERC, but in other years has won the German championship twice. The now 27-year-old will drive a Volkswagen Polo R5 in the season-opening Rally di Roma Capitale. “I am very happy about our participation in this very technical and specialist asphalt event,” Kreim said.

“I tested the VW Polo GTI R5 on asphalt. I had a good feeling right away. The car has potential, even though the handling is completely different in terms of set-up than in the Škoda. "We will have an incredibly big competition. With the VW Polo we can certainly still gain experience. Nevertheless, it is my goal to fight for the ERC1 Junior victory," he added.
