Mark Fawcett and Simon Ellis backed up their win from last month’s Mt Porepunkah Rallysprint to win the Murrindindi Magic last weekend.
The event was round five of the Victorian Rally Championship, and was conducted by the Historic Rally Association, under the direction of Stuart Lister.
Driving a Subaru Impreza WRX, Fawcett and Ellis won by over two minutes from Craig and Carrie Morris in a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo 6, with Brian Semmens and David Leoncini third in their rear-wheel drive Nissan 200SX.
The Mitsubishi of Warren Lee/David Lethlean, and Geoff Legg-Stoker and Robert Johnston in a Subaru rounded out the top five.
16 of the 53 starters failed to finish the event, which used many of the roads normally used by the Rally of Melbourne.
