Price and James, competeing in their 1600cc Proton Satria, never looked back as they tackled the fast and demanding gravel roads of Canberra.
“We have had a really great day today with no problems at all. It’s a fine way to start our championship for 2008,” Price said.
They also finished first ACT Clubman and first in class P2.
The third round was conducted as part of the 2008 Rally of Canberra. For the 40 plus crews that entered, points were only rewarded for Saturday’s proceedings.
Price Rallysport are concentrating on the ACT Rally Series this year, and have the Clubman section in their sights.
“We had to get a good result here at the Rally of Canberra. It was crucial that we finished this event with a handful of points,” explained co-driver Matthew James.
Fellow team-mate and sibling, Ryan Price, with co-driver Russell Taylor, also drove their 1600cc Proton Satria to 18th outright and a commendable first in the Novice class.
The team now have a two and half month wait for the fourth round of the series, which will again be held in the forests of Canberra.
