The Confederation of Australian Motor Sport has announced the composition of the Investigatory Panel into the incident that occurred during the Mount Buller Sprint tarmac rally event, which took the life of co-driver Paul Flintoft, in November 2007.

Prominent Barrister and experienced rally competitor, Mr Robert Dyer, has been appointed to Chair the investigation. The other two members of the panel are Dr Tom Gibson, member of the AIMSS Research Advisory Group and an expert in vehicle engineering and crash investigation, and Adrian Dudok who is a senior CAMS accredited Rally Clerk of the Course and former Chairman of the NSW Rally Advisory Panel. Expert technical advisers will also assist the Panel in its investigation.

The investigation will be conducted in early February 2008.
