Ford escorts home Silver Fern Rally 1-2-3

British driver James Ford has taken a commanding win in the 2024 Silver Fern Rally, claiming back-to-back wins in a Ford Escort RS1800.

Ford and co-driver, Neil Shanks, led virtually from start to finish in the 7-day, 1000 kilometre marathon to win by over four minutes in an Escort 1-2-3.

New Zealanders Robbie and Amy Stokes put Kiwis on the second step of the podium after an error-free drive in their Escort, while Robert Gough and Jeremy Rogers brought their brand-new Viking Motorsport Escort into third place, eight minutes from the lead.
