"No-one would have blamed us for packing the car back on the truck after the problems on day one. It was a real credit to our teams fighting spirit that we were back competing on Sunday morning" said Batten.
"Ted (team owner Robinson) pulled a few strings to keep the show on the road" said team manager Adam Smith. "The replacement flywheel and bolts were flown up to the local airfield in the front seat of a Cessna on Saturday afternoon".
After a late night working one the car, the team posted a string of strong times bringing the car home for its maiden podium position. "We were really happy with our stage times first time out in the car, it is a fast package and great fun to drive," said Batten.

"First time running the car we expected a few teething problems, the biggest thing was that we all dug in and kept trying under pressure. It was a real team effort and really satisfying to bring the car home to the finish. The podium celebration was icing on the cake and a great thank-you to the team for all the hard work."
