With the start of the 2008 Australian Rally Championship season is only eight weeks away, the Supplementary Regulations and Entry Forms for the season-launching 2008 Quit Forest Rally are now available.
The Quit Forest Rally is the opening round of the 2008 Australian Rally Championship and Round 2 of the WA Rally Championship. In addition, the Quit Forest Rally CLUBMAN will be run as a piggyback event on the Saturday as part of the WA Clubman Series (please note there are separate Regulations for this event).The standard Entry Form is to be used for all 3 events except for the ARC Registered Crews.
The rally will be run from April 4-6 and is again based out of the coastal town of Busselton, with the Special Stages around Nannup in the south west of Western Australia. The rally starts with the Busselton Toyota Super Stage on the Busselton foreshore on the Friday evening. This stage is re-run on the Saturday evening as the start of Heat 2.
The roads around Nannup have been graded and are in large part in excellent condition. Each Heat has around 100km of special stage rallying.
Interstate competitors looking for assistance with making travel, accommodation or other arrangements are invited to contact the organisers.
In addition to the Quit Forest Rally and CLUBMAN, there will also be the Shannons Busselton Tarmac Rally and the Shannons Busselton Speed Event running on the Busselton Toyota Super Stage on the Saturday afternoon. Supplementary Regulations for this event will be issued soon.
