British co-driver, Rob Arthur, has passed away after suffering a heart attack.

Arthur scored his best result at WRC level on the 1985 RAC, with Tony Pond in the MG Metro 6R4 where they finished third. Arthur will also be remembered for guiding Pond in the big Rover Vitesse on the 1984 and 85 British Open Championship, and also winning the British Rally Championship with Jimmy McRae during 1988 in a Ford Sierra Cosworth RS.

Arthur went on to take up a co-ordinator role with Ralliart in the 1990's.
