The Full-On Rallysport team of Bruce Fullerton and Hugh Reardon-Smith successfully negotiated a tough weekend coping with the extremely wet conditions at the 2012 Scouts Rally SA.

Rain fell over all three heats of the event, making parts of stages literally mud holes, but the Alliance Airlines Evo 9 ran faultlessly, and powered through all the conditions.

The end result was a win in the International Cup, ahead of South Australian champion Russell Marker and UAE resident Kirk Marks, both driving Subaru WRX’s. .

“Scouts Rally SA is a power event,” said driver Bruce Fullerton, “and running a Group N car did hinder us a bit. While our stage times were not quite as quick as we had anticipated, we were very happy to come away with a win in the International Cup.”

Whilst in Adelaide, the car was on display at the Alliance Airlines hanger where the Evo 9 was a big hit with the Alliance Airlines staff as the service crew prepped the car ready to start the event.

With the rain and softer conditions in South Australia, the car returned to Queensland in perfect condition, so the team will only need a standard preparation of the car for the Coffs Coast Rally in October. Bruce and Hugh would like to thank their service crew Rob and Richard for their efforts, and their sponsors Alliance Airlines and Fullerton Financial Services.
