Sesks will make his debut at the event in a Ford Puma Rally1 and ran in the car near the Kazimierz Górski National Stadium in front of a large crowd.

Alongside the Puma, a Škoda Fabia Rally2, Audi Quattro S1, Ford Escort WRC and a Ford Fiesta Rally4 were all driving up and down the 2km closed stage.

Meanwhile, Sesks also spoke on the livery design of his non-Hybrid Rally1 car he’ll drive in the event.

“I always had red cars during my career, actually, starting from go-karts” he said. “But the second thing is that we wanted to show our gratefulness for Latvia and the amazing people and fans who are supporting us to bring these Latvian colours to the world championship.

“I think the design looks amazing and it gives a bit more colour to the championship.”

Rally Poland begins with the Mikolajki Area Super Special Stage on Thursday evening.
