Australian co-driver, Rhianon Gelsomino, will sit alongside Subaru Motorsports USA driver, Travis Pastrana, when the American Rally Association continues this month.
Gelsomino, who has sat alongside the likes of Brendan Reeves, Ryan Millen, Molly Taylor and Kurt Busch, will add the X Games gold medallist and American champion to her ever-growing co-driving resume.
Beginning on the 28th of August, the Ojibwe Forest Rally is the third round of the American national series and a place where the Australian has plenty of experience.
It’s a rally she’s competed on no less than seven times with four class wins and two overall podiums to her name.
Gelsomino will sit alongside Pastrana in the open class Subaru WRX and is excited to be working with Pastrana and the team.

Rhianon Gelsomino has co-driven across the globe.

“After a great test with Subaru Motorsports USA in February I am really excited to have the opportunity to co-drive for Travis at the Ojibwe Forest Rally,” Gelsomino told RallySport Magazine.
“I have known Travis for a few years now after competing against each other, however Ojibwe will be our first event working together.
“I can’t wait to test prior to the event and start our work towards wining the rally for the team,” she added.
Pastrana’s regular co-driver, Robbie Durant, is unable to get to the United States due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
He competed with Chrissie Beavis at the last round of the series where the pair’s car was destroyed by fire.

Gelsomino is under no illusions of the importance of the job she has at the upcoming event.
The Subaru team missed the season opening Sno*Drift Rally, so Pastrana is behind the eight ball in the championship race.
“With only 4 events remaining, to win this event and keep Travis in contention for the national title is extremely important,” she added.
