Government run Rally Australia likely for our WRC return

The return of Rally Australia to the World Rally Championship is at least two years away, WRC Event Director Simon Larkin has told RallySport Magazine.

Last run almost four years ago, Rally Australia was based in Coffs Harbour each year from 2013 to 2018 before losing its slot on the calendar due to several reasons, including the WRC’s desire to get to a larger host city.

Speaking to RallySport Magazine before the recent Rally New Zealand, Larkin, an Australian, said that there was nothing to talk about in terms of Rally Australia rejoining the series, and that Australia has no event planned at present.
