DMack sprang a surprise when they released details of their 2017 WRC tyre list, with five all-new varieties all named Grippa tyres.

DMack 2017 range of tyres left to right: General WRC gravel tyre, Swedish rally winter tyre, general WRC asphalt tyre, Monte Carlo 18 inch winter tyre, wet weather WRC asphalt tyre.

This resurrects the name of the company’s original competition tyres, which were used by club drivers in DMack’s pre-WRC days.

The range produced no technical surprises except for announcing that the WRC gravel tyres will now feature new improved high impact resistance and a run-flat construction.

Their 2017 WRC tyres are the design work of Fiorenzo Brivio, formerly of Pirelli who pioneered a lot of rallying run-flat experiments in the days before mousse inserts made run-flat technology redundant, till now….

DMack will be the only rival tyre supplier in the 2017 WRC series to Michelin.

DMack have also announced a financial reward scheme for WRC2 drivers using their new products.

Note the 15 inch Swedish winter tyre has a similar tread pattern to the 18 inch winter tyre.
