Evans and co-driver Simone Bachmann have a commanding lead in the Showroom class of the championship going into this weekend's third round, the Lake Mountain Sprint in Victoria.
Evans will compete on Hankook tyres at Lake Mountain and at the final round of the championship - Targa Tasmania.
"We'll be using Hankook's new Ventus TD tyre, which has already shown it has potential by scoring fourth outright on Australian debut at the Bathurst 12 Hour race last month," said Evans.
"Our role will be to give Hankook feedback on the tyre as part of its motorsport development program."
Ventus TD is a road-legal R-spec tyre featuring compound and construction technology developed in the Japan Super GT and European Le Mans series.
"We recently tested the Hankooks and, without revealing times, they definitely boosted our confidence," Evans said.
"Targa Tasmania in particular is hugely demanding on tyres, so the performance data gathered there will be valuable to Hankook."
After finishing 12th outright in a Lotus Exige at Targa last year, Evans switched to a Team Mitsubishi Ralliart-built Evo X Club Spec SST for the inaugural ATC.
At the opening Mt Buller Sprint round last December, the new Evans/Bachmann Evo dominated the Showroom class and finished tenth outright.
The pair also performed strongly at Targa Wrest Point in January, finishing second to experienced locals Tony Warren and Natasha Deniese in an Evo IX, by a margin of just 0.1 secs per kilometre.
Evans says his Hankook Evo X will undergo further development within the Showroom class rules between now and Targa Tasmania in late April.
"Our goal is nothing less than the Showroom win at Targa and the ATC - and we'd like to crack into the outright top 10 at Targa. We have the car, we have the tyres, now the onus is on me. Better get to the gym!"Â
