Harry Bates was under a fair bit of pressure in the lead-up to his home event in Canberra earlier this month – and then Autoglym came calling.
Marketing manager, David Turney, wanted to know if Harry could help out with the making of a short video clip, highlighting the car care company’s latest range of products, the three-step Polar Series.
Despite all his other commitments, Harry was happy to be involved.
But that also meant a location and some extra hands … which is where the Neal Bates Motorsport headquarters and crew became part of the deal.
For around four hours, on a very chilly day in Canberra, the Bates boys did the bidding of videographer Andrew Hawkins, while stills shooter Jack Martin documented progress.
The end result was an immaculately clean Yaris that Harry was very happy to take to the official start… and a fun video that you can watch below.
The arrangement between Neal Bates Motorsport and Autoglym is not a signed-and-sealed sponsorship, but things may change in the future.
Autoglym is an official supplier to the British Royal family. Maybe it will soon have the official Warrant of Appointment to Australian rallying royalty!
