The Maxboost Motorsport team has nearly completed the Marlboro HDT replica Gemini for this year’s Targa Tasmania, with Adrian “Mozza” Morrisby at the wheel.

Head mechanic, Jon Fitzgerald, has completed the transformation from gravel rally car to tarmac weapon and it is now ready to take on the fantastic field assembled for the “Rookie Rallye” section of Targa.

Reg Coulson from Motortech and Andy Kuc from Pro Automotive have built a strong engine for the event and it will soon be dyno-tuned to its maximum power output.

The team have also procured some very soft Bridgestone tyres for the event that should give good grip in the wet or dry.

Wells Bodyworkds did their magic on the bodyshell, which has been massaged into shape again and looks immaculate.

The team will have an official launch next Thursday in Hobart.

Additional support for Morrisby’s Targa entry has come from: Moonah Auto Salvage, Joe’s Garage, Taylor Screens, SRT Logistics, Signworks, Weatherhead Engineering, Diprose Body Repairs, Reflection Panels, Speed Feed, Hill Street Auto, Vandenberg Pacenotes and Devonport Performance Tyres.
