WRC stars took the top three placings in Rally Estonia as Toyota, Hyundai and Citroen stepped up their testing for the upcoming Rally Finland. On home soil and in front of a parochial crowd, Ott Tanak won all but three stages on his way to a one minute victory in his Yaris WRC. The high-flying Tanak was never really challenged on the event, with first Craig Breen settling into second place in his Citroen, before Hayden Paddon eventually took the runner-up spot in his Hyundai i20.   Breen had a sixth-gear off into a field aboard his C3 WRC, before a problem in service meant he was late to a stage and incurred over two minutes in penalties.

Second place for Hayden Paddon and his all white Hyundai i20 WRC.

M-Sport didn't enter the event, with their three drivers having recently completed a big pre-Finland test in their Fiesta WRC that includes major revisions to the rear aero on the car. The R5 cars of Finns Pietarinen (Skoda) and Huttunen (Hyundai) were fourth and fifth on an event known for its high speed stages.
