Hyundai Motorsport’s test driver, Kevin Abbring, has begun testing the final version of the 2017 i20 World Rally Car, the third prototype design in five months.
Back in April, Hyundai started testing with a mule car that was basically a 2016 car used to test 2017 components,. The next step was a 3-door model (“Coupe”) which was closer to the 2017 car, and now they have started testing the final spec with complete aero package and components.
It is not planned to make an official presentation of the 2017 car until after the end of the current season, normally in early December, and there is no news what the official name for the 2017 WRC car will be.
The latest version car was shown on a Twitter message from Abbring.
