Insight: Pirelli’s tyres for an icy Rally Sweden

This weekend provides rally teams with one of the harshest challenges of the season – snow and ice in Sweden.

Along with the Monte Carlo Rally, it’s the most specialised rally of the year, the only rally where competitors are running in full winter conditions.

The WRC’s control tyre supplier, Pirelli, will use their latest Sottozero Ice studded tyre, which has been designed to handle the increased demands of the new generation hybrid-powered Rally1 cars.
